Welcome to Union Bank Karmachari Sahakari Path Sanstha Maryadit, Solapur.

        AIBEA Union was formed in Union Bank Solapur by in the year 1984, and from then on for the first 3 years we all were involved in strengthnig the Union. In the 1980s the loan facilities from our Bank were limited, and for any extra loan for marriage, medical or house building, we staff had to approach Mumbai Society, which was then controlled by the Federation Union. Staff members had to go in person to Mumbai to get their loans that too after much difficulty.

Looking at the above, Com .R.S.Gubyadkar, called for a Union Meeting in Solapur and he suggested that we form our own Credit Society. Being a entirely new concept people were hesitant, but supported us.

A team of 4 people was formed. Com R.S.Gubyadkar led from front like a true captain. He and Mr. M.A.Khan, took the responsibility of getting the necessary permission from D.D.R Office, and other legal matters. Mr. L.S Dias was giving responsibility of collecting monthly subscription from members, which as Rs.5 initially and gradually went to Rs.100 per month. Mr Anil Jeurkar, was in charge of all the accounting , and maintaining records,

This way we started our society, even while awaiting permission from DDR office. We used to loan of Rs.1200/- at 2% pa, while taking 12 post dated cheques/withdrawl slips from members. This is our humble beginning. We also got permission from Regional office to use Kumbhar ves premises as our official premises for keeping our furniture and using it on our office address.

After getting permission from DDR, we could approach SDCC Bank for loan, they used to give us 4 times loan of our capital but would deduct 10% as shares. This amount still lies with SDCC bank. Their rate of interest was very high. sometimes it used to go to 14%pa. After a lot of complaints from members, Com Gubyadkar held a directors meeting and we came upon the idea of granting loans from our own funds, and thus we started granting loans to members at 3% pa from our own funds. We also had only Solapur Dist as our service area, gradually we expanded, and now except we cover all areas of Maharashtra.
Solapur Society has helped many members during their great time of need, say difference in cash, marriage, education, housebuilding etc. We have always strived to fulfill need of members. We have not forgotten that our prime motive is to help members in need at the same time our expenditure is minimum.

This in brief is the history of our Society and today is a proud day when we are achieving 100% computerisation of our Soceity. We seek your cooperation and blessing for our bright future.
